What is a SOC?

A Security Operation Center is a place within an IT department where security analysts monitor and respond to incoming cyber threats. The SOC team is constantly at work protecting an organization’s overall infrastructure from hackers through a program of prevention, detection and mitigating strategies.

The Security Operation Center is also responsible for implementing and maintaining corporate compliance regulations and reporting.
