What Does MDR Stand For?

MDR stands for managed detection and response. It refers to the ongoing process of monitoring an organization’s network for suspicious activity and responding to threats in real time in order to protect against cybersecurity attacks. This is usually done on an outsourced basis with a company that specializes in cybersecurity.

Managed detection and response solutions utilize threat intelligence and analysis along with highly trained security experts that are able to predict the possibility of an attack and develop planned responses tailored to each attack.
