An MSSP is an outsourced provider of security-as-a-service management and monitoring, including anti-virus and anti-spam protection, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), data loss prevention (DLP), VPN and firewall protection, identity access management, and threat intelligence.
Companies use MSSPs when they don’t have the security staff or expertise in-house to meet increasing security and compliance regulations and cybersecurity challenges.
